Hi, Everyone:

           Our previous firmware has some fetal bugs which will lead to the crashes of the bugs. For this reason, we release another new firmware on 2015/08/24. It solved the hotpoint and waypoint using same coordinate will lead to the strange phenomenon. You could see the other details about the latest release version in  https://developer.dji.com/en/mobile-sdk/downloads/.

            There are three users who reported the fetal bugs in the first time. We really appreciated their report. After discussion, We will give them a reward for reporting the bugs.

            Their names are :

             Dronesmadeeasy
             Brad
             ZEN UAV

             I will contact you three about the details of the reward.

Cheers,
Alex

Hi bbdev1

I believe it's just a drone update, the RC does not need updating, so don't worry about it.

From the Beta Firmware release notes:
"18. Maximum waypoint horizontal speed is changed to 15 m/s."
Not working on iOS. Makes the waypoint mission invalid when checking self.waypointMission.isValid. Setting it to anything above the previous value of 10 m/s makes the mission invalid.

It seems all sorts of new things are making the Waypoint Mission invalid or a ERR_MissionConditionNotSatisfied when starting a mission.

It would be nice to get a list of the criteria so we can figure out what is going wrong.

There seems to be an issue with tilting the gimbal in waypoint actions. It has gotten stuck numerous times today during our testing. We have never experienced this before.

When it happened on the desk with the simulator it had to be manually touched and snapped to the position that it was supposed to be in. In the field, where it happened much more frequently, the gimbal would no longer stabilize and would move with the aircraft as if it was rigid.

We have continued to have gimbal issues when testing in the field. It happens less often in the simulator. We have video of it getting locked at about -110 degrees (20 degrees beyond straight down).

Also, from the firmware release note:
"13. The flight controller now sends a signal to the DJI GO app when the aircraft reaches the last
waypoint."
It appears that reaching the last waypoint does not trigger a onNavigationMissionStatusChangedDJINavigationMissionStatus*)missionStatus event anymore when using the simulator. It does seem to throw it when operating live.

Hi, There are two speeds.

/**
*  Max flight speed for a waypoint mission. The maxFlightSpeed value will be
*  the result of the autoFlightSpeed value plus the max controlled speed by remote controller,
*  the maxFlightSpeed should be in range [2, 10]m/s.
*/
@property(nonatomic, assign) float maxFlightSpeed;

/**
*  The automatically flight speed for a waypoint mission. The autoFlightSpeed's absolute value
*  should be smaller than the maxFlightSpeed value.the autoFlightSpeed should be in range [-10, 10]m/s.
*/
@property(nonatomic, assign) float autoFlightSpeed;

The rule is the autoFlightSpeed must be not larger than the MaxFlightSpeed.

Second, why could you set the gimbal pitch degree to -110? Isn't it from the 30 to -90?
If it is indeed a bug, you could report it to sdk@dji.com and I will follow up on that.

Third, the latest ground station changed a lot. Still you could use the MCU push info to obtain the status changes.

One more thing, for the latest firmware, the maxFlightSpeed changes to [2, 15]
AutoFligthSpeed changes to [-15, +15]

Hi, There are two speeds.

/**

On the most recent firmware, if you set the maxFlightSpeed and the autoFlightSpeed to anything between 10 and 15, self.waypointMission.isValid returns false. This has been verified a lot if times. Even setting autoFlightSpeed to less that maxFlightSpeed (ie maxFlightSpeed 15 and autoFlightSpeed 14) as is recommended by above returns false.

Maybe the problem is with the self.waypointMission.isValid check and not the actual waypoint functions?

We aren't setting it there. The gimbal stops stabilizing and gets stuck there. We think it is likely happening when we are pointing straight down at -90 and either motion or wind takes it to the end of its motion and it gets stuck. We never had the problem on the previous firmware. We have actually had it occur on the simulator a couple of times too, so it might not be the end of range of motion issue.

Currently, onNavigationMissionStatusChanged is not being called on reaching the last waypoint on the simulator but it is in the field. The MCU push (DJIMCSystemState if that is what you mean) does not have waypoint information in it. DJIWaypointMissionStatus contains the targetWaypointIndex information apps need to be able to monitor waypoint arrival and error states.

DJI, could you please unpin this thread; it's for a very old SDK and firmware and isn't helpful to have it shown at the top.

Thanks

I didn't know there was a bug bounty program. Bounties for bugs, that's nice to hear.
